Father Bob Lotz became temporary administrator at Blessed Trinity Parish February 1, 2007 and was appointed pastor of Blessed Trinity and Saint John Evangelist parishes June 19, 2007. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in 1973 and spent many years in special assignments in Young Adult Ministry and Campus Ministry throughout the archdiocese. He has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, a Masters degree in Theology and the Personality Sciences, and a Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service. He is an adjunct professor in the College of Professional Studies at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Principal - Jeanne Bitkers (jeanne@blessedtrinityparish.org) This is my third year at St. Mary’s Catholic School and I’m delighted to be the principal and to have the opportunity to work with the outstanding and dedicated teachers and staff members as well as with the wonderful students and families here. Prior to my coming to St. Mary’s I was the principal at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Plymouth. Before that I served as a teacher, principal, director of elementary education and co-superintendent in the Sheboygan Area School District. I am also an adjunct instructor in the School of Education at Lakeland College in Sheboygan. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Mount Mary College and a Masters degree from UW-Madison. I have also earned a Certificate in Lay Ministry from St. Francis Seminary and am currently enrolled in the Ph.D. Program at Cardinal Stritch University. I live in Kohler and am a member of St. Dominic Parish where I have been a trustee, chairperson of the Parish Council, volunteer coordinator of the Religious Education program. I am currently a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and a member of various parish committees. I love working with students and their families as well as with teachers and school staff members, and I look forward to the challenges that will be faced, and the opportunities that will come, to share the message of Jesus and to help students grow in faith, knowledge and love at St. Mary School during the coming school year. Sheila Rekowski

This is Mrs.
Rekowski's fourth year teaching K-4/K-5 at St. Mary’s. Before she began
teaching at St. Mary’s she was a teacher for ten years at Our Lady of
the Lakes in Random Lake. While there she taught kindergarten as
well as preschool. Over those ten years she was able to help implement
the full day kindergarten program. |

Diane Mutsch
(mutschd@archmil.org) Mrs. Mutsch, originally from Milwaukee, moved to Wisconsin Rapids in 1994, where she and her husband Jim and two sons lived for 7 years. While in Wisconsin Rapids, she worked for the Wisconsin Rapids Catholic School system as a Teacher's Assistant. In 2002, Mrs. Mutsch and her family relocated to Howards Grove. She worked at Kingdom Kids Preschool in Sheboygan and in 2005 she joined St. Mary School. She has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lakeshore Technical College and continues to take education courses. Mrs. Mutsch thoroughly enjoys working with the children and teachers at St. Mary School and feels God has truly blessed her with this opportunity. |

Mary Gruber
(gruberma@archmil.org) Ms. Gruber has been teaching for many years at St. Mary School. During that time she has always taught at the 3rd and 4th grade level. Ms. Gruber firmly believes that every child is unique with many gifts given to them by God. As a teacher she feels it is her responsibility to help children nurture their talents as well as find ways to overcome their weaknesses. Ms. Gruber's love for children is continued into the summer where she works as the playground Supervisor in the Sheboygan Public School Community Recreation Department. In the Playground Program she oversees activities for 16 playground sites and supervises 32 young men and women seeking to become teachers. In her spare time Ms. Gruber loves reading, gardening, sports, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends. |

Debbie Thomas (dthomas@archmil.org) Mrs. Thomas, originally from Watertown, began her teaching career in the Berlin Catholic (Consolidated) School System in Berlin, WI, teaching grades 5 through 8. She and her family moved to Sheboygan in 1987, where Mrs. Thomas taught 7th and 8th grades (primarily pre-algebra, algebra, and reading) for the Sheboygan Area School District. Mrs. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (grades 1-8) from UW-Oshkosh and a Master’s Degree in Education from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. She is a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Sheboygan; her two children attended Christ Child Academy there. Mrs. Thomas has always enjoyed working with young adolescents and is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the St. Mary’s School family! |

Physical Education -
David Fink (finkpe@archmil.org) Mr. Fink has been the Physical Education teacher at St. Mary's for the last 8 years. He has a B.S. degree from Carthage College and a M.S. degree from Winona State. He has coached and played almost every sport at every level. Mr. Fink has taught physical education, History, Health, and weight training. He has even taught teachers to be teachers as a professor at Carroll College. Mr. Fink has been teaching for 47 years with stops in Hartford, Waukesha, (Carroll College) Sussex, and Sheboygan Falls. He enjoys working with students of all ages. |

Music -
Cathy Pohl ((catherinepohl@gmail.com) Cathy Pohl is a graduate of Marquette University with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Education as well. She has Advanced Religious Certification through the Archdiocese and also is a trained facilitator for Safe Guarding God’s Children. She has been a teacher for over 30 years, first at Christ King School in Wauwatosa in the Middle School, then as a principal at Our Lady of the Lakes, St. Mary’s-Belgium, and Rosemary School, where she also was the Music teacher. She comes to St. Mary’s-Sheboygan Falls to instill a love of singing in the children. She believes that singing is a beautiful way to use one of God’s most precious gifts. Mrs. Pohl resides in Belgium on a dairy farm with her husband, Mike and two sons. Her son, Andy, attends Concordia University in Mequon and her other son, Dan attends Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. |

Technology & Literature -
Linda Tappa
(tappal@archmil.org) Mrs. Tappa moved to the Sheboygan area from West Bend in January of 2012. While in West Bend, she taught at St. Frances Cabrini School for 23 years, teaching a variety of subjects and grades. Most recently, she had been the school librarian and supportive consultant. She joined the St. Mary’s School staff in February of 2012 as a part-time teacher of technology. She is now a part-time teacher working with the middle school students on Six-Trait writing with Mrs. Claussen, and literature, as well as teaching technology for K5- grade 4 students. Mrs. Tappa feels blessed to be a part of the St. Mary’s School family, able to share her faith with students and fellow faculty and staff members each and every day. Mrs. Tappa and her husband have three grown children and three grandsons all living in Wisconsin. She was born and raised in Illinois, but is a true Packer, Brewer, and Badger fan! |

Although I've only been teaching art for six years, art has been my passion my entire life. My philosophy of teaching art: teach the required core art curriculum while still allowing the kids to have fun and express themselves creatively. Be yourself. Spanish -
Bernie McKichan (mckichanb@archmil.org) Bernie McKichan joins the staff of St. Mary's as Spanish instructor. He retired after 33 years in the public schools, the last 32 in the School District of Sheboygan Falls. Mr. McKichan earned his Bachelor's degrees in German and Spanish from the UW-Whitewater and a Master's degree in German Literature and Linguistics from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. He taught both German and Spanish at the middle and high school levels. In his spare time Mr. McKichan enjoys reading,
music working with computers and riding his recumbent bicycle. He and
his wife have two daughters, both of whom attend UW-Stevens Point. |

Technology Advisor

Robb Holden
(holdenr@archmil.org) Mr. Holden is currently is at St. Mary School every other Wednesday to deal with any Technology issues that arise. Mr. Holden is also at St. Mary School in a supervisory role to oversee the Technology Instructional program. He does teach the 5th - 8th graders a Technology class on the days he is at St. Mary's. In addition to being the Technology Advisor at St. Mary School he teaches Technology to students in Grades K - 8 at Shepherd of the Hills School in Eden, Grades K - 4 at Divine Savior School in Kiel, and Grades K - 6 at Chilton Area Catholic School in Chilton. |

Maintenance

Kathleen Rau
Mrs. Rau has been employed with Blessed Trinity Parish and St. Mary School for many years. She is responsible for the pristine and shiny floors in the school, and keeping the rest of the school neat and clean. Mrs. Rau keeps busy with many projects between the three buildings that make up the the parish. A normal day will find her supervising students during lunch, changing light bulbs and cleaning in the school. Her friendly demeanor and do-it attitude make her an important asset to the staff. She and her husband Leroy live on a farm and have three grown children who have blessed them with several grandchildren. |
