As pastor, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our parish community and to invite   you to view the many activities that help us grow as a family of faith committed to the power of the Blessed Trinity in our lives.

Here at Blessed Trinity we strive to worship and share the sacramental life of the Church in ways which are sincere, vibrant and meaningful for all our participants. We especially welcome young adults between the ages of 18 and 35 to help us renew and refresh ourselves as an intergenerational parish. Young people, families and elders are also welcome to share the life in our community of faith.

If you would like to get more involved (especially in our three year Faith In Our Future Campaign) please go to the Membership Info. link on the Parish home page for our Parish Stewardship information. We welcome any and all the help you are wiling to share with our family of faith, and urge you to become an active part of our parish.

I hope to get to know you soon.

Peace,

Father Bob Lotz, Pastor

WELCOME ZACH!!!

Greetings to All-

My name is Zach Holzer and I am very excited about my new position as liturgy and music director of Blessed Trinity Parish. This article will give you a bit of information about me and where I’ve been since graduating from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1998.

After high school, I attended Silver Lake College in Manitowoc Wisconsin where I earned a bachelors degree in Music Education and a minor in sacred music and Liturgy. For the past nine years I have been the music director for St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton. Much like St. Rose, St. George and St. Mary’s, the church in Newton was a merger of four country churches which included St. Joseph of Alverno, St. Casimir of Northeim, St. Wendel of Cleveland, and St. Isidore of Osman. All four of these church buildings were closed and a new Church was built in 2001.

After I graduated from college in 2003, I was hired as a general and choral music teacher for the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District. I taught in grades 5-12 and really enjoyed working with students and building the music program. In 2007 I was offered a position with the Howards Grove School District as Director of Choral Activities from grades 7-12 and have been there ever since. Currently, I am proud to say that we have over 150 singers in our middle and high school choirs. I work with an extremely talented staff and am very proud of all the students I teach!

My wife Becky and I were married in June 2007. Becky is a 4th grade teacher at St. Mary’s in Port Washington and also a certified Yoga instructor. We met when we were at Silver Lake College! We currently reside in Kohler with the company of our three cats.

I look forward to meeting all of you in the next few months. As I help my former church transition, you may see a substitute organist here and there in the month of August. My next bulletin article will talk about the different music ministries that you are going to want to be involved in! Until next time, Keep Singing!

Zach Holzer
Director of Liturgy & Music

WELCOME JEANNE!!!

SUMMER GREETINGS!

It is with joy that I write to tell you that I have recently accepted the position of principal of St. Mary School. I am happy, excited and grateful to I know that I will be working with dedicated teachers and staff members and a fine pastor, as well as with wonderful students and families here at St. Mary School. I feel fortunate to be a part of a school family where the Good News of Christ is taught, modeled and lived and where there is a commitment to high expectations, innovation and collaboration.

For the past 4 years, I have been the principal at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Plymouth. Prior to that I was a teacher, principal, director of elementary education and co-superintendent in the Sheboygan Area School District. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Mount Mary College and a Master’s degree from UW-Madison. I have also earned a Certificate in Lay Ministry from St. Francis Seminary and am currently enrolled in the Ph.D. Program at Cardinal Stritch University. I live in Kohler and am a member of St. Dominic Parish where I have been a trustee, chairperson of the Parish Council and volunteer coordinator of the Religious Education program. I am currently a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and a member of various parish committees.

I love working with students and their families as well as with teachers and school staff members, and I look forward to the challenges that will be faced, and the opportunities that will come to share the message of Jesus and to help students grow in faith, knowledge and love at St. Mary School during the coming school year. I’m looking forward to this “new year”, to becoming part of the St. Mary School Staff, and to working with each and all of you, the parishioners of Blessed Trinity Parish. Please stop in to visit if/when you are in the neighborhood. My door is always open and I look forward to meeting you.

May God continue to bless you and yours,
Jeanne M. Bitkers, Principal
